Neha Kumari (Delhi)

Journey!!

A very Good Day to all of you! I, Neha Kumari, am currently working with SpiceJet  as security executive. Today I am going to share you my journey/experience and my achievement with my team members, So it started when I was in Bihar with parents but missing my grandparents therefore I start insisting my parents that I want to stay in Delhi with my maternal grandparents and finally my parent agreed and I shifted to Delhi when I was 5 years old and continued my studies.

I cleared my higher secondary school in 2020 and till 2020 I won many medals in games, and competition at state and zonal level. During this I went on to learn Bharatanatyam dance form and won many dance competitions.  But as we know life is full of hurdles and my first hurdle came as my marriage proposal, as I was the eldest daughter so my parents wanted me to get married and settle. Nothing could have stopped me from achieving my goal, hence I was firm with my decision and convinced my parents that this was not the right time for me as I wanted to study more. I had few dreams which I wanted to achieve.

In between I also start sketching and sculpture with paper mache (by waste news paper / m- seal). My first sketch which I made was my favourite cricketer Virat Kohli. So now you all must be thinking how suddenly my interest moved towards sketching. So it all started with my aunt (maasi) in 2017. At this time she was studying polytechnic in arts so whenever she used to make painting I used to watch her.  While watching, I felt like I should also make a sketch. So I started and day by day enhanced my skill in sketching.  I started my graduation from Shivaji College and my National Cadet Corp (NCC) journey started with NCC as cadet and I passed as Senior Under officer. In NCC I achieved so many things while being in the national camps.  I was also honoured to perform slithering in front of Prime Minister of our country and got a chance to visit the Prime Minister residence. I was also awarded (live para commando life)in many event and passed my NCC C certificate with grade ‘A’.

One of the most important lessons martial arts taught me was perseverance. The journey to mastery is not an easy one; it requires countless hours of practice, dedication, and determination. Through martial arts, I learned to push through physical and mental barriers, never giving up even when faced with challenges. This resilience has translated into other areas of my life as well, such as academics or professional pursuits.

In the last year of my graduation I joined SpicJet in which I got the platform to represent  myself and my organization at national level with the help and guidance of our instructor (Grand Master Wasim Akram Mollah ).  At these Indian Combat League event I won 1 Gold and 2 silver medals for SpiceJet and also was honoured by the Dr, B.R. Ambedkar National game’s award.  I am thankful to all my team mates for the support and moving forward to achieve more!!
